Here it is July 2008 and I am still running Tiger on my iMac. Leopard came out last Fall I believe. Every once in a while I get the urge to jump in the car, go to the mall, and buy Leopard. I was thinking about doing that after I cut the grass tonight but [...]

Mac Attack

I purchased an iPod Shuffle for Regina yesterday.
And then I returned it.
It turns out that they (all new iPods) require USB2 and I only have USB1 on the laptop. It’s odd to think my hardware is so outdated that I can’t even get a low-end iPod to work with it — something makes me think [...]

Bad Information Design For The Lord

I saw this sign and just had to laugh. It’s advertising a church website. Taking a picture and blowing it up is the only way that anyone will ever be able to know what the web address is though. To all the people that have been giving me smack about …
I haven’t had time to post until now because at the last minute on Friday, the business mentioned something that changed the entire application flow that I had been preparing for a user interface walk-through. The presentation was scheduled for this morning. [...]

The Client’s Requirement: “The database will allow room to capture every functioning operation that a Coordinator is required to maintain, such as (operation 1), (operation 2), etc.”

The Client’s Response: “To define it would place a limit on it.”

WordPress UGA Smilie Logo

Wednesday, October 11th, 2006 | Posted in Football, Web Design

I recently created a little 15×15 pixel University of Georgia football logo for WordPress users.
Go to the following file: /wp-includes/vars.php
Once there, add the following code to the top of the smilie array:
‘:uga:’  => ‘icon_uga.gif’,
Next right click on the smilie, save it to your hard drive, and upload it to the following folder:
wp-includes/images/smilies/
So now whenever you mention college [...]

Reinventing

Have you ever felt like your world has been so rocked that you knew things could never go back to being the same? Maybe it’s usually marked by a new hair style, getting a tattoo, or some sort of proverbial stake in the ground. Well the forces of this world — directed by a sovereign [...]

Training & Painting

Monday, September 18th, 2006 | Posted in Football, Web Design

I had a good week in Little Rock, AR last week. Our team had a summit meeting and some training. We all work in different states (AK, GA, KS, OH, NE, and PA) so it was good to spend some time in person with the names and voices on the other end of the emails, [...]
