Shady’s Last Days

Thursday, May 17th, 2007 | Posted in Family, General

If you could, please pray for my friend JB. His dog Shady is in her last moments/days. He has had her since she was a puppy and she is 18 years old — that’s a 126 in human years.
Over the past year we have discussed my experience with Abbey and Gracie. As we pondered, [...]

Return of the Goatee

Thursday, May 10th, 2007 | Posted in Family, Football, General

The goatee is on its way back — slowly but surely.
I think I’m going to save its permanent removal until I pass the half-century mark. Like a secret weapon in the fight against the appearance of aging. Funny how it makes me look younger and heavier at the same time. We’ll see how the trade-off [...]

Georgia On My Mind

Monday, April 23rd, 2007 | Posted in Family, General

I ran across a new list on Wikipedia today. As a Georgia native it seems like I should have a check box next to each one. But hey, summer is coming soon! I think we might be planning on taking the girls to Okefenokee Swamp. Camryn went when she was two years old but I [...]

Think About It

Colossians 2:8
See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.
This is Camryn’s life verse that we chose for her at her dedication. I just wanted to document that on April 7th, 2007 Camryn [...]

Broken & Tired

Have you ever put your arm on a table or shelf and swept it from the left to the right as a means to cleaning it off? It’s not the most elegant method but it sure is fast and effective. That’s what I feel like my life has been like as of late. I don’t [...]

Praying for Gracie

Friday, March 2nd, 2007 | Posted in Family

Thanks to everyone that is praying for Gracie. Last night someone mentioned that their kids pray more for my dog than their own grandmother who is ill and in the hospital.
I wanted to give you an update and something more specific to pray for. Her legs seem to be getting stronger and moving more — [...]

Gracie Is Back Home

Monday, February 19th, 2007 | Posted in Family

We brought her back yesterday. She is still paralyzed. Her left leg seems to be getting better in that it advances as she tries to walk in a sling/harness. Her left leg is still dragging though. When she’s not is a sling she can scoot around on her bottom.
There are a lot of people out [...]

Gracie’s Anatomy

Thursday, February 8th, 2007 | Posted in Family

For those that don’t know, Gracie slipped a disc on Tuesday morning leaving her hind legs paralyzed. We took her to the vet and eventually to the University of Georgia Animal Hospital . After a failed test to find out exactly where the problem was, suspicions of “something else going on around the [...]

Digital Photo Processing

Wednesday, January 3rd, 2007 | Posted in Family, Photography

So we’ve had a digital camera going on 4 years now. Well, Regina has finally gotten sick of not having any physical pictures of Maegan’s life. The girls also like to look at Camryn’s baby pictures. They always end up asking to look at Maegan’s pictures but she has to reply, “I don’t have any.”
I [...]
