The Y Day One
Today was a first. The first time I went to a gym before work. Regina won a six free month family membership to the YMCA that is right next to Camryn’s school. How can we not use it? We’ll see how the six months go. Then if we are still going, we will probably get sucked into joining — we wouldn’t have to pay any registration fees. I also see it as offsetting some of the water bill. If I feel like taking a looooong hot shower I can just go up there.
It’s also more accountability, in that the machines record your workout and you can view your stats online etc. After setting goals and you spend a couple of weeks setting your pace, a trainer views your stats and sees how you’re doing. I like the tech side of it.
It’s also nice because their indoor pool has a walk in section for the kids and the girls love the pool. Maybe they will take up swimming as they get a bit older.
So once the new iPods come out, Regina and I will be caring for the temple and loving the Lord with all our mind as we listen to Podcasts during our workout time. Oh, and I actually find drinking diet drinks tolerable now — amazing.

Ah, the YMCA is GREAT! I love that place - just wish opportunity afforded itself for me to go as well.

Your inspiring me. Do they have raquetball?

No raquetball. I think they used most of the space of the aquatic center.
I was out sick today … I intend to make it by tomorrow.
