Prayer for JB
Please pray for my friend John Bennett — aka. jb on this blog.
He and his wife Audrey are flying to Virginia tomorrow for an interview about a position where he can finally use his creative abilities as a career. To date, the position sounds promising and like a great opportunity. Pray for strength and health during the journey, and that the Lord will clearly open and close doors for them — figuratively of course. And if things aren’t so clear, ask that God gives them wisdom to make proper decisions — even if it’s not comfortable or fun.
We love ya John!

My prayer for you John is that this would work out for God’s glory and your pleasure in Him, that you would receive affirmation of a “good fit” or see the warning signs if He puts them up. May God give you wisdom and discernment. Psalm 111:10

Thanks so much for your prayers! Right now we are in a coffee shop in VA. As it stands now we kind of have the vibe that we won’t get the job. Everything seemed right on, as if there would be an offer right away, until I met with the COO over lunch.
He asked that I do a project for them in 1.5 - 2hrs. It took me about 3.5 or so.
I havent been given any word yet, but will hear back on Monday or Tuesday.
We have been interviewing for about a month trying to crank out some projects, and hearing on Thursday evening the directors vision for a special position she wanted just for me as a designer, but with some responsibilities as a liason partnering with sales and meeting the clients.
She has been very positive and encouraging, but I got the feeling the COO didnt buy in as easily on this.
This, combined with the ‘test project’ results were not great, and I think her responses turned somewhat reserved Friday evening.
We have been praying hard to lean on our Lord and not our skills, desires or feelings.
Still we are battling with the rejection and ‘where do we go from here’ thoughts.
Please pray for a source of income to be established very soon.
Thanks for allowing my rambling as I havent had much sleep lately.
