Reader Survey: Christmas 06 iTunes Giftcard

29 December 2006 124 views 6 Comments

Okay I’ve got a gift card to use on iTunes and I have to make a decision. I have enough to get one whole album and few singles. As usual I’m torn. Should I get:

The Fray: How To Save A Life

or…

Keith Urban: Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing

Let the voting begin.

Keith’s record. Given what comes out as pop/rock material these days, the Fray’s record would be two singles and the rest album filler. Just a guess though.

After one listen to Keith’s record, I definitely want to it listen again.

The reviews say that the album is solid. I like what I hear on iTunes too.

Now I’m looking into Matt Wertz’s music. Justin Rosolino recorded some tracks on his last album and has been playing guitar with him.

Oooooo and I just remembered Mute Math’s album is now available on iTunes. (Touted as some of the most original music of 06.) Maybe I could take out a loan and just get all of it.

    Keith Urban, of course.

    Who is “The Fray” anyway??

I ended up getting Mute Math. Good work music for me.

The Fray is a band that hit the scene with a tune called Over My Head (Cable Car). I also believe the title track, How To Save A Life has been featured on Grey’s Anatomy too.

You’ve probably heard them but just don’t know it. From what I hear they are followers of Christ that make good music and want nothing to do with the CCM industry.

I hear the album is solid with an introspective feel to it. Check it out on iTunes.
