Farewell Cruel Cable TV World
Our three month special for getting regular Cable at a low, low price ended recently. Now we are doing something the cable company didn’t plan on. We downgraded to broadcast basic — no more HGTV, Animal Planet, or Travel Channel. (It was cheaper to get the promo special and pay no setup fee than to get Broadcast Basic and pay the setup fee.)
It will be interesting to see how this changes our TV time, schedules, and family dynamic in general. I am completely satisfied in listening to Larry Munson call the
games on the radio on Saturdays (750AM or 106.1FM) — very nostalgic, almost therapeutic even.
It may take a bit of getting used to, but we did just fine without all the extra channels a few years ago and I think we’ll be just fine now.
Speaking of TV, here’s an update on that Note Shape documentary.

Beware - too much listening to Munson
is prone to cause depression and Bulldog cynicism. The cup is half full!!

“…is prone to cause depression and … cynicism.”
It’s funny how I find that therapeutic, eh?
Maybe with the cup being half empty, you feel better when they actually win. The highs are higher and the lows are lower — ah, the life of a melancholy.
Speaking of but on a different subject, this is the quote of the day.

And with less TV time, just think of the songs you’ll write. You can use the dawgs for some melancholy inspiration.

I have to say you are better then I in not caring about your Cable Service . I love watching my football and baseball in HD… and I can’t live without my History Channel!!!
