“Mommy, why would someone shoot children while they are at school?”

This morning Camryn heard a news report on the radio talking about the man that went into the Amish school and shot some children. Wow, what a story for a young mind to ponder as she begins her career in school.

We answered her question, “because of sin.” We have been teaching her class on Sundays and we have learned how Adam and Eve’s sin darkened their hearts so they couldn’t reflect God’s glory back to Him and now everyone’s hearts are darkened. Evil is real and it’s not just some crazy story about a serpent in a garden. We emphasized how important it is for her to stay with her class at school and gave out another dose of the “even if the stranger says we told them to come get you” speech.

She’s been sick but is now ready to go back to school.

In other news, Ed from the Moby in the Morning Show almost ate a five pound cheeseburger in three hours today. Better luck next time.
