Before The Fall

29 August 2006 102 views 8 Comments

It’s been a while since my last post so hang on. With Fall quickly approaching and a sense of anticipating change in the air, I think I may try something I’ve never done before.

I think I will try to keep up with the University of Georgia football program this season. No really, I’m serious — I even created a subcategory for it. I started listening to several games last year as the season drew to a close and found myself actually enjoying them. I know my dad and my friend Jeffrey may not approve of my choice of schools to follow but at least it will give us something else to talk and banter about. After all, how can I claim to be a good Georgia native without having a football team to root for? I do have a general understanding of the sport, but I’ll be looking to the more experienced veterans to help fill me in on all of the behind the scenes things that I should be aware of.

It’s been one long hot summer. I’m ready for a bit of cool air, the beauty of the changing leaves, the sounds of country music, the smells of wood burning, cooked apples and BBQ, and some good times with good friends and family.

I tried that will pro football last year to some extent, to relate so some of my co-workers better. I suggest find a good webpage or blog that brings it all together for you. It was easy for me: NFL.com.

So what gets to fall of the plate in the fall to make room for football. Just curious…

Hopefully, “moving” in general or being on the phone with credit agencies. There is plenty of stuff to do around the house on any given Saturday. I figure it’s pretty easy to be near a radio while other stuff is going on … not necessarily sitting around on the couch for hours at a time.

Hmmm, may need to look into one of those radio tuner thingys for the iPod.

I get it. I thought getting more involved meant you’d start watching the games on TV. And because I was curious…

I made the plunge into Fantasy Football this year. It takes you from rooting for not only your favorite team, but also for specific players and match ups in order to earn points for the team that you “drafted” prior to the season starting. It provides a bit of excitement for some of the less meaningful games. Welcome to football nation!!
