Back on the Juice
Well over the course of the past few weeks I started drinking caffeinated beverages again. Maybe it was the availability of them while I staying with other people while the floors were being redone. Maybe it was that I needed a little picker-upper to get through the day. There are no signs of physical addiction yet. I like drinking coffee at the beach so I won’t quit this week — but of course everyone knows, I can quit any time I want to.

After being off diet cokes for about 2 months, I had one this week, and it was actually quite unpleasant. I never understood the concept of ‘acquiring a taste’ for something. If you have to acquire the taste, why do it?

Hmmm… things pretty slow. Try a second cup.

No time to stop and pour one.

Ah, the funniest movie scene in the past 5 years was the “caffienated squirrel & police” scene in Hoodwinked.
fyi - Going to see Gana’s folks this weekend.

Hello, I’m David. It’s been 24 hours since my last caffeinated beverage and I have a splitting headache.

Yeah, I’m sure the only thing that’s happened to you in the last 24 hours to give you a splitting headache is climbing back on the wagon.

It took you just a few weeks to go from no caffiene to withdrawal? Maybe that’s just a sensitivity that develops with age…

Jeffrey, I used to coffee in the AM, several refills of Coke at lunch, and had to have a Coke before bed or I would wake up with a headache. It wasn’t good.
Now that Camryn has to be at school at 7:30, I am keeping it one cup of coffee a day and maybe an Arnold Palmer (sweet tea and lemonade) in the evening.
