A Memory For The 4th
On the 4th we went over to the Bennett’s to hang out at a low key get together. Their house is a front row seat for the Wills Park fireworks show. Our girls made friends with the other kids that were there.
A little girl about 4 years old was playing with Camryn and asked to look at her ears. The girl said, “You don’t have pierced ears yet,” to which Camryn replied, “No, but my grandparents can pull money out of them.”
P.S. Remember the fireworks lotto? This year it started to rain right when the show ended as opposed to last year when it started pouring right when the show started.

Sure do. This year we watched the Cumming Fairgrounds fireworks show under the cover of a second story walkway on a retail building. It was easy access, no traffic, and close to our home.
The show was not as well conceived as the Wills Park shows of the past. Between that and missing friends we usually would have been with, it was OK.
I did take the opportunity to tell my oldest boy about the Declaration of Independence.
