Sleepover Turnover
A while back when Maegan moved out of a crib and into a bed the girls started to have “sleepovers” — especially over the Christmas holiday when Mimi and Papa spent the night a lot. But then the holidays were over and it was time to start back to school.
So Camryn would ask, “Can we have a sleepover tonight?” and we’d give the usual parental response of, “No, not on a school night.” She goes to school every other day so then we’d tell her that they can have one the next night. We’re such good parents, right?
Well, Regina and I started noticing a pattern. On days when they slept in separate rooms they would sleep forever and it would be a struggle every other morning to wake Camryn up for school. (She takes after me.) But on days when they slept in the same room, they would naturally wake each other up and in turn would wake us up earlier. (Not good.)
So we now let them have sleepovers on school nights and make them sleep separate on non-school nights. Every family is different, go with what works.

Way to work on the fly, Fresh. That’s an impressive mid-stream adjustment!
