Project Urban Tan Update

Monday, July 18th, 2005 at 5:34 pm | Posted in General.

After hearing that my farmers tan will even out naturally (no masking of body parts required), I am on a mission this week to get rid of my redneck, farmers tan. My plans took a turn for the worse yesterday as my back somehow didn’t get any sunscreen in the dash to get down to the beach.

Now I just have to toast my front over the coarse of the week. Further updates to come…

didn’t you know nerds can’t get rid of that farmers tan?

Computers nerds simply burst into flames if exposed to anything greater than the glow of a CRT. (studies have shown that Mac’s are actually theraputic to such soft skin)

i’ve got a bad farmers tan too but i have just learned to embrace it. after painting house in richmond last week there was no way to escape a farmers tan. i just made sure my bald spot didn’t burn.

Is that true? I wish i could get rid of mine…

And how can a “farmer’s” tan be “urban”?

Wow, this is a scary site…

    Cats should be very afraid

…as for losing the farmer’s tan. Use spf 40 on your arms and neck and spf15 on your torso til they catch up with one another.

  8. Jeffrey says:

That’s not true! I’ve tried it. I think, though, after years of farmer tannage, my torso is resistant to melanin increase, while my arms and neck are yet more susceptible. It’s a vicious cycle.

Well I’m back ‚Äî under the glow of sterile fluorescent lighting.

While my torso made great advances in balancing out, I think I need another week to really finish the job right. I didn’t mask anything but think that it would be needed during the second week to even things out. It seems like it would help getting a base tan to prevent any lines or spotches due to faulty sunblock masking ‚Äî imagine the potential for error there.

So for the rest of the summer I vow that when I cut the grass, visit any pools or outside in the sun for more than an hour I will do so with my shirt off. Watch out ladies.

P.S. It’s good to hear from everyone!
