If You Love Something…
We’ve all heard the saying, “If you love something, set it free and if it was meant to be then it will float back to you, the Love Boat!” or whatever it is. Today I had a realization. Since I’ve been feeling under the weather, I cheated on my diet and went to McDs for lunch and got one of my old favorites - a Filet-o-Fish value meal.
The sandwich tasted weird to me - the bread tasted pasty and really wasn’t as appealling as white bread used to be. I have set it free and I am all the better.
However, the hot, fresh, McD’s french fries came swimming right back. I love the fries and the fries love me. Yummy. If your lunch hour is boring, abstain from the usuals for two or three months and find out what you really like.
Disclaimer: This post is for my friend Tony who thinks blogs are about what you had for lunch. Needed a lighter note after all the anxiety of the day.

i thought if you loved something you let it go and if it doesn’t come back you hunted it down and killed it.

you know, i’ve always found the filet-o-fish to be disappointing. i mean, it looks SO GOOD on the picture, but just never really makes it for me. i’ve given up on it. a double cheeseburger (with bacon) from wendy’s NEVER misses the mark, tho. i suggest you try one and see how it works for you.

McDs, Chick-Fil-A, Dominoes, iHop, Wendy’s. They are all mentioned within 2 weeks of your blogging. You have fallen into the trap. Your blogs are turning into your diet diaries.
And I’m a dork for continuing to read them…

Look at the comment response, forget theological issues or philosophy, for some reason people love to talk about food.
*Chick-Fil-A hasn’t been mentioned yet.

Chick-fil-a was referenced during your Oct 21 entry about your new diet. Believe me, I’m keeping a running tally of your meals.

McD’s is soooo nasty, ugh… I’m sick of fast food!
